well i finally took the plunge
cascade smash ag1#
4.5kg maris otter
100g crystal malt
40g cascade @60
20g cascade @15
20g cascade end
3g irish moss @15
90 mins mash
90 mins boil
og 1.044 fg 1.011
safale 04 yeast
mostly copied from rich2700 thanks
heated hlt up to 80 to allow for strike temp of 78 with added campden tablet. mashed for 90 at 68-66 temp did drop slightly. mash liquid 11.5l sparge went well stopped at 0.996 final boil liquid 25l
cooled with imersion coil down to 23 took sg reading 1048 @22 and pitched yeast.
loved it and have popped my ag cherry.
also some pics of my brew day, any advice appriciated.
