First Extract brew and well cleaned copper.

I have just put my first extract brew into the bucket with its yeast and left it lovingly in a warm corner to get it's magic done. I followed the excellent HowTo, so thank you mr tubby ! This was just so much more fun than a kit brew I feel the pull of the dark side rather more after this mornings entertainment.

Now the reason for my post, I see that the boil has done a very nice job on cleaning up the copper piping of my strainer to the point that the layer of oxidization has been stripped off. Will this impart a unwanted flavor ?

No my copper bits (or err mrs) all come out nice and shiny after a brew, nothing to worry about.
