All bottled today. Put in 500ml bottles with 1 coopers carb drop. I put 2 drops in 4 of them to see what its like.

I wondered though... the tap isnt quite on the bottom of the fv so you don't bottle the crap on the bottom. When i got to the tap there was probably 2 or 3 litres left so I tilted the fv and poured a couple more. Should I expect alot for these or will they be horrible? I marked them so I know which is which. lt wasn't the thick sludge right at the bottom but the bit above that has the odd 'floaty' thing. Im hoping that settles as sediment in the bottle.

Got 40 bottles in all. Can't wait to tuck in!

I put one and a half carb drops in my 500ml bottles. I opened 4 and no fizz but lager tasted lovely. Thats after a week in the bottle. Dont think itll get any more fizz but will get clearer.

I wouldnt expect to get any fizz at 1 week. The co2 needs time to be absorbed back in to the beer. Look for "time lapse carbonation" on youtube. Theres a vid there that someone has put on of the carbonation after a week, 10 days, 2 weeks etc...

First proper taste after 8 days in bottles. I tipped the bucket to get a couple more pints when I bottled the other week so as an experiment I thought I'd try one of the "bottom of the barrel" bottles as I saw these as dispensable anyway.

I was really pleased. I tried the sample I took for my fg and that had a very water feel first thing. That has gone and it tastes good. A little hobgoblin'y I thought. Still quite cloudy, but much less than 8 days ago and has clearly started carbonating. Fizz when the bottle opened and a slight head which remained until I finished. I have high hopes for this in a few weeks/months time!

Hi everyone... just an update after 3 and a half weeks in bottles. For purely experimental reasons I have sampled one after 2 and 3 weeks. I'm pretty impressed so far. It's very drinkable, respectively carbonated for an ale and there is a head which stays. I have noticed the change from week 2 and 3 and hope it will get better given time.

I chilled my 3 week test, it was very cloudy which I think is chill haze. I have read this can go after a while in the fridge... Does anyone know how long this would take? I'm thinking more of my lager which I would drink ice cold tbh.
