Well after all the problems I have had to start with FG has settled at 1.017 with OG at 1.050 using a colculater ABV at 4.32%, so not looking to bad for a first attempt, ready to start bottling tomorrow

a little on the high side for finishing gravity did you keep track of gravity to ensure it had really stopped

Yeah been checking it all week, will give it one last check today before I bottle

Hi I agree fg a bit high I did a bulldog kit earlier this year with a similar fg which I thought had stopped so I bottled it then it kicked off again ok if you want 1/4 inch of beer and a glass of foam. Must admit I didn't have such a high start though.

It's been in the fermenter since the 2nd of Feb, temps was off during the first week but managed to get them up for the last 2 weeks, been checking the FG all week because I was getting. 020 but then dropped a little more, will give it 1 last test before I do bottle but I don't think it's going any lower
