My first brew is ready to be bottlef. it is a muntons ipa. Ive been given two types of advice one to add half tea spoon sugar to each bottle the other to transfer to keg add sugar and then bottled?

Not sure which is best? Will granulated sugar do the job?

Thanks

i all ways add sugar to bottle ( 5ml spoon full ) i have hear of some people who put sugar in barrel then bottle its flat :thumb:
some people use brewing sugar some use normal sugar some say brewing sugar is better ??? :thumb:

Anything I make in demijohns I add sugar to the bottles, coz there's only 8 of them so fiddling around with a funnel and a teaspoon measure and the sugar isn't much hassle.
But when I do a 4 or 5 gallon batch, it gets transferred onto all the sugar at once on another big vessel, then goes into bottles. Can't be doing with 40 movefunnel-measuresugar-deliversugar operations.
I've heard it said caster sugar works a little better than granulated.
I've heard it said brewing sugar doesn't have that 'refined sugar' taste.
