i have bought my first all grain kit, im a bit apprehensive to tell the truth, im still brewing from kits mainly 3kg kits, i havent got all the bits i need but will be collecting it over the next week or two, my dad has all the kit for AG at his house as he has brewed AG for as long as i can remember, but i still would like my first bash at it to be all my own affair even if it goes pete tong.

will post as i go but might not start for a week or two :thumb:

Well done B....go for it...I've nearly finished my AG setup...but won't brew untill we get back off holls..
Just make some notes from off the forum...some of the AG brews that are on here...then you have something for ref...when the time comes.

im drinking the last of a barrel my dad brewed AG, 5.6% of awesomeness! i think to teach the old man a thing about AG i need about 30-40 years of brewing under my belt first! lol, he is 75 and still brewing the best ale i have ever drank, big statement i know but i am biased, he has offered to lend me a few spare bits i need to do my first brew so thats covered.
so know when i have a day free looks like i could be doing my first pale ale all grain, woo hoo! lol ( still dubious! )

Get him over to give you a hand if you are able - brewing with the old man is an experience not to be missed!
