right today i have started 2 wines a chadonnay and a strawberry wine these are the first of i hope many. shall keep you all informed of progress and taste

I started my strawberry today. 4lb of them, mashed up with 1200g of sugar and a Campden, sitting in a bucket in the corner... Will get it strained into a demi on friday and get some pectolase, nutrient, tannin, citric, and yeast in there

right back with an update i have just put the chadonnay has been put in a cool place as per instuctions to clear and bottle.
and yes stevie 1556 it is from a kit as i have only just started with this whole brewing thing, however i think i will be making one from scrtach as soon as i have got the hang of it all

The thing about strawb-not-from-a-kit is not to mash them too finely.
I keep doing it, for some reason, and even with a litre of headspace it climbs out through the airlock after about 50 hours, and keeps doing it for about 30 hours...
The end product is good though!

mrloon - I started off with a strawberry kit, A Solomon Grundy one. It turned out lovely and I would buy the kit again. Hope yours turnout great

ok latest update and things are going great i have just bottled my chardonney and tried it good news is not only is it drinkable but a very nice drop of wine.. 10 more days and the strawberry wine will be ready.
