So after a couple of months of my burco boiler laying dormant due to the cut outs for a BIAB with just the bag in it. I finally got my grain screen. The prices for this piece of kit vary so much and are so up and down - hence the reason it has taken me so long to buy one.

At one point, Amazon were having them at like £100 which imo is stupid. That's more than the price of my burco fgs. These things are being scalped to hell price wise and while this pandemic continues, I am guessing scalping is the new normal. I for one was prepared to wait it out. I managed to purchase my 30x31 grain screen yesterday for £40 + £7 shipping from Wish. I've seen them go as high as £68 + shipping on there but the average is about £50 + shipping.

Finally, I can start AG BIAB again =) huzzah!

Great news! I've been looking at some bits of fishing tackle...rrp £9.95 some have them for sale on fleabay for £27! I thought it was a deal for 3..which what you would buy but its not...luckily reputable tackle shops have stock.
It's worth waiting...if you can!
I've also ordered some custom built rods...the factory builds were like chicken's teeth but the supplier had blanks available so I've had them built to my spec all for around £20 extra per rod.
I hardly fished last year with all the sh1te going on and had two years bonus from work I'd squirreled away so decided it was treat time..

I will be picking your brains good sir when I get around to taking this fine gentleman's hobby up in a few years for equipment advice =)

I'll do my best...my gear was the best you could buy ...15/20 years ago! Its still really good but I've looked after it and it's now worth more than I paid for it ..nearly!
Things have moved on a bit though...I'm only changing my rods. My bivvy is solid and has been carefully cleaned and resealed. My reels are selling for £100+ esch on ebay and I paid ghat for them...
