filtering hops before or after 8 hour cooling?

Morning all,
I did an overnight mash last night and this morning I did my boil and its now cooling outside ready for pitching tonight. I usually filter out my hops before its cooled but I was pretty late for work so I only managed to get rid of about 50% of the hops. I'm now worried Ive overdone the bittering? Is it best to filter before or after cooling begins. I usually cool it through my heat exchanger but I just didn't have time today so its going to cool outside over 8 hours.

Any help much appreciated!
