Filter and re-seed

Hi,
Has anyone out there adopted filtering from the primary and then re- seeding and priming before bottling to get a clearer beer (with small sediment)...and if so is it possible to re-seed a strong ale with a weaker generic yeast for secondary. I'm thinking of cool conditioning in 15l batches for 4-6 week periods prior to priming.

That's an interesting idea, something I've never thought of.
