Hi. Think I may have a stuck fermentation. I did a part grain mash 3 days ago. It fermented well for first 36 hours but since nothing coming through fermentation lock and there's about 40mm of white sediment on bottom of fermenter. Not sure what to do. I don't have any spare yeast any advice would be appreciated. Never come across this before

Just leave it for now. Whether I've used kits or AG I leave for 2 weeks before I do anything (unless a major obvious issue like the Krausen coming out of FV!) It does most of its stuff first few days, so you could take a sample in a few days and if it looks stuck, get a well sanitised spoon/paddle and give it a very gentle stir, no splashing if you can, and leave for a few days. Don't get hung up on visual activity, yeast does stuff on the sly! What temp is it at?

If after a few more days still stuck, I've used amalyse before to get it going a bit more, and you could always order another packet of yeast now to arrive in a few days if needed.

White sediment, not sure to be honest, sorry.

Have you taken any readings? Has your fermentation temperature risen?

You might well find it has actually finished, done in 3 days is not completely unusual.
Otherwise...
Take an SG reading, even if it means opening the lid. And if you do have to take the lid off does it look finished, clearing, no tiny bubbles rising, etc etc?
How much yeast did you use, was it well within date if a dry type?
And don't trust your airlock. If you have a plastic FV with lid, the lid/FV seal may be leaking and CO2 is bypassing the airlock.
Anyway 3 days in is usually too early to tell if it's stuck, but if it is has here's some ideas

Hi. Gravity is 1020. OG was about 1045. Temperature is 22C. Like I said in post there is a good build of sediment about 30mm I'll just leave it a few more days see if gravity drops. Is there any chance it will spoil

no harm in leaving it for 10-14 days to make sure. The last few G's don't move the airlock I find.
