Fat smack pack

Hi,
My first smack pack arrived a week ago and I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I noticed that it iwas quite inflated when it arrived. It isn't fit to burst, but it's a lot more inflated than the ones in YouTube videos. It's it OK?

Yes, that is common. Check the useby date, but it has probably just been stored in warmer than optimal conditions. You should make a starter whenever using these yeasts as viability tends to be low.

What this man said. I've had it happen to me a couple of times and the yeast has always been fine once in a starter.
