Hey guys ive decided to give extract brewing a go as it looks pretty simple the one thing i keep seeing is people saying to get a gas powered cooker to boil it with, Whats wrong with just using your cooker ?

Nothing wrong with using your cooker at all, all my brews to date have been boiled in the kitchen on our gas stove. Mind you, it's a big pot and it goes over two burners.

I'm not sure if you would manage a brew of any volume on an electric hob, and I am considering buying a propane burner so I can boil outdoors on bottled gas.

Quite frankly, I can't see what Mrs. Mole finds objectionable about the smell of hops boiled indoors :wha:
