Should you expect a different FG when you mess around with the fermentibles?
e.g. the IPA I just put on says use a kilo of dextrose. Dextrose is pretty much totally fermentible, you would expect it all to go... so if you had water and dextrose you would expect it to ferment completely out to (less than?) 1.000.
One can kits that say to brew with dextrose all say to expect an FG of 1.006.
Two can kits vary but so far the ones I've done say they should be done about 1.010-1.012.
So if I use LME or DME to replace dextrose should I expect a higher FG? Logic is saying to me that I should...
Oh, and is there a tool online for working out what your FG would naturally be?
