Tonight I bought some exotic juice from concentrate from aldi. Its ingredients are... pineapple juice 37%, orange juice 34%,apple juice 25% passion fruit juice 1.5% all from concentrate. Banana and mango puree 1% each. Do you think I could use 3L, some tanning (strong tea) Young's yeast and yeast nutrient it would make a nice wine. Has anybody tried a recepie similar to this?? :wha:

I have half an idea somebody did try it a while back. Can't remember the details. There's some pulpy stuff in there that will need a bit of headspace and probably an early racking

Do you think I should replace for 2 exotic and 2 apple or grape? Or 2-1-1 hhmmmmm :hmm: :wha:

Welcome to the forum.

Have a read of this thread when you have a few minutes, its full of supermarket juice recipes and comments from members of the forum - viewtopic.php?f=41&t=39846

As you will see from the thread i have made many of these juice wines, i normally use 1 litre of 100% juice and 1 litre of 100% grape juice, i prefer white grape juice but you can get red and rose versions, the grape juice adds body to the wine, if you just use juice drink it should be nice but it will be more like an alcopop than wine.
If you are not going to use grape juice I would go with 2 litres of your 100% juice as 3 litres will be overpowering.
You should add a teaspoon Pectolase, add a teaspoon of Glycerine which adds mouth feel and the same of Citric acid or the juice of a lemon.
Fill to the shoulder of the DJ as the apple and orange based wines ferment vigorously simular to a lava lamp, if its too full it will escape.

I have added 2exotic and 1.5l of white grape. A teaspoon of super yeast, nutrient and glycerin. It had a SG of 1.108. Popped it in the airing Cuboard last night and it's bubbeling away nicely.

I use the exotic juice quite a lot, although I have never done a 100% exoctic wine. I usually add it into the mix with other juices/grape. Makes a nice wine.

You might find it is very strong and you can get away with using one Exotic and one grape juice saving a bit of money in the process, making your own recipes or adapting others is part of the fun of making your own wines. :thumb:
