Pretty new AG brewing, have just done a more detailed water calculation for my next brew, its saying i need to add Epsom Salts, is this really critical as i'm struggling to get some from my homebrew supplier can i use any epsom salts, have looked on internet and some supermarkets stock it.

Only bother using food grade gypsum and Calcium Chloride. You should be able to get hold of those from any sensible home brew/wine making website/shop.

Try your chemist for Epsom salts. It used to be sold as a remedy for constipation.

Exactly what I did. Less than 3USD for a pound.
B&M, pound stretcher, Tesco, etc have a brand of Epson salts, westlab I believe, that state on the packet that they are food and pharmaceutical standard. Usually £5 for a 1kg bag.
