This has been in the bottle now for a month and has mellowed somewhat from a really quite strong grapefruit hit into a nicer rounded and mellowed hop hit.One to repeat me thinks. I tried to emulate Marstons EPA but think i rather overdid the cascade dry hop:lol::lol:
Use last of 1/2 pack of ESB yeast(not overkeen on earlier results) and was actually quite happy with the result!
5 litre batch,partial mash,3.5 litre mash at 67c 60 mins,4.25 litre dunk at 72c.
Pale malt 100 grams
lager malt 50 grams
wheat malt 30 grams
crystal malt 90L 10 grams
H and B liquid malt 454grams added at start boil
Golden syrup, good squeeze at 10 mins
1/4 protofloc tablet at 15 mins.
Styrian goldings pellets 10 grams 60 min
cascade pellets 6 grams 10 min
cascade "" 6 grams aroma
cascade 20 grams dry hop 5 days
1/2 pack ESB yeast re hydrated
OG 1034. FG 1010. 30.46 IBU. 6.40 SRM
