Enough yeast for 1.056 og

Hi There,

Just pitched some yeast into a 1.056og wort on Sunday eve . I did one pack of us05 dry yeast. I pitched it dry. It's slowly starting to bubble away on Monday evening . Is one pack enough ? Would anyone recommend adding a second pack or am I too late or is there no need? Can always add in a second when I get home this evening.

Yes, you've pitched plenty. One pack of US05 will go through much denser wort than that.

I haven't used dried yeast in a while but one pack should be fine. Might have got going quicker if you'd rehydrated but I wouldn't worry.
