Emergency Rebarreling, do I need to reprime?

An old barrel I inherited from my Dad has sprung a leak. After holding up fine through the first few days in the warm, on moving it's sprung a tiny leak on top so I need to re barrel it. On moving to the other barrel do I need to re prime the beer? It's only been in the other one for 3 days.

3 days i would say the sugar would have been eaten. reprime it - the excess will seep through the release valve anyway
