SORTED GUYS... :thumb:

the relay in question was from our neff double oven,
i found a few suppliers but they needed me to buy over a thousand units .... :eek:

i have got round it by using a car relay mounted remotely from the pcb, the oven board puts out 9.9v ..which is enough to hold in a 12v relay, the relay is rated at 40amps,
is there any reason this may not work/or fail

Did you try a Siemens parts specialist? the 12v relay may cause the power supply to go west eventually, but should be ok short term. Try these people, neff are the same as siemens bosch etc same product different badge.

nice link there unc... :thumb:

ive not gone through it all to see if they go down to component level yet,

ive done a likkle re-search.. and;

the 12v relay draws 1.2w

the original 8v draws 400 mw

so there is a fair difference .. it works for now in the work shop, but i may look for another relay before i refit it, :hmm:
