Hi
My name is Jnay, I am from near Chester UK

I have never made anything until yesterday and I think I have made a few mistakes!!! lol

I have made a load of Elderflower cordial.

First mistake I think I have made is that I put the campden tablets in whole not crushed.

Also I didnt just put in the flower heads, I put in some of the green stems too.

Do you think this will affect the outcome?

I really love elderflower cordial and it is so expensive in the shops.

We only picked really creamy white flowers when the sun was on them.

Thank xxx

I've never made cordial but when making wine the whole heads go in, green stuff and all. I may try the black bag method this year, see this topic and follow Samarith's link, scrolling down for English translation.

CTs dissolve slowly, and probably much faster if boiling was involved, so don't worry about that.

Edit: Forgetting my manners, sorry

Welcome to the forum

Yay. Welcome to the forum.

This bin bag method looks good. I'm going to try and make some elderflower sparkling wine this weekend.

Thank you for a lovely warm welcome.

The elderflower cordial is G O R G E O U S

Can't actually believe I have made it!!! So proud of myself

Does anyone know how to store it please?

I have an outhouse that is cool and dark so I was thinking of putting it in there .. xxx
