I was thinking about the weirdest things I've eaten in my lifetime and what beers I would recommend to go with them.

Pedigree Chum - Stout ( the heavier the better )

Scorpion - IPA ( good for washing the crunchy bits down)

Anybody else out there care to share? Remember if you didn't swallow it, it doesn't count!!!!!!

Zebra - Best Bitter
Ostrich - Mild Ale
Snake - Summer Ale / Lager

i had guinea pig in the peruvian amazon washed down with mate which is fermented maize. nice!

Haggis.

Free Range usually have far more flavour than some of the Battery Haggis you might find in the supermarkets, but it takes a brave man to eat one if you've ever seen what they feed them on.

Best washed down with malt whisky :thumb:

Deep fried Haggis and deep fried Mars bar and I wasn't even over the border! Only in Berwick!

Vegetarian Haggis...

They can't do that, the native haggi are carnivorous!

Sorry to correct you James but the plural for the native haggis is Haggises. It's a common mistake. I spent three years in the hills studying them and you're right in a way but they're omnivorous.

Does a drink count?
At the weekend the brother-in-law gave me a can of carlsberg, as soon as I could get away, I washed the taste out with Brewdog's Trashy Blond which was on tap at Wetherspoons.

Great pint and worked a treat!

OK ... I know I didn't have to drink the Calsberg, but family pressure and all that!

Blair's Ultra Death 20/20 Chilli sauce. - Full Bodied Red Wine

Not really that off-the-wall, but insanely hot.
One drop is enough to give a can of tomato soup vindaloo qualities.
