Hi there,
I'm just starting to get into brewing my first batch (IPA) and thought i'd ask you guys from some expertise
I'm thinking of dry hopping my brew to add extra depth of flavour to my brew, but not sure on the exact details.
As i understand it, to dry-hop i add hops (pellets) into the brew once the mash/sparge is completed and the liquid cooled, then leave them in there for the duration of the fermentation until i'm ready to condition in my keg?
I presume i need to add up front rather than keep adding as i go along (for fear of contamination), but if i can add at intervals then does anyone have tips about what times/ amounts to add during the fermentation process?
Alternatively, if anyone knows of an existing thread or trustworthy web article around this then feel free to direct me there
Many thanks for your help guys
Cheers
Mark
