I've got my AG Tettnang Tiger lager just about finished fermenting (1.048 down to 1.012) at 12C so I'm about to give it two weeks lagering at 2C (or even lower if my fridge will allow). I'm thinking I might try dry hopping it. How long should they be in for and is 2C a suitable temperature? I have Tettnang and Hallertau Hersbrucker leaf hops - any preference? And how much? Or not bother!

i would not bother myself , have you tried an urquell pilsner ? That is very hoppy for a lager and to me too hoppy so unless you're aiming for something like that . I would of thought around 25/30 ibu would be plenty what's yours ?

I have tried Pilsner Urquell and I think I agree with you. So I won't bother this time - I am trying to replicate the extract recipe I did before so I shouldn't really change too many things. You helped me with the recipe. Thanks for the excellent (and very quick) advice once again.

just did my first proper lager so cant be absolutely positive but i think a month or longer can be better for lagering
