Hi all
I've seen a few posts regarding drips from these taps (tap not the seal with the keg itself) and am going to draw off a little liquid to release the pressure.
First question is, as I only kegged my brew a couple of days ago was I too early?
Hydrometer showed same reading 2 days running but wasn't quite in the "bottling" zone.
Secondly, am I right in thinking as it's early on, that more pressure will build yet without me adding more sugar? I have Co2 canister anyway

Thanks in advance

Pressure will only build if more CO2 is being produced, ie fermentation is continuing. If you had consistent readings then you will probably be OK.

I am currently going through the dripping king keg nightmare. Though my keg won't hold pressure due to the lid. Yay. It drips on a warm day, even at atmospheric pressure. Needless to say, I am drinking this beer as quick as possible before it spoils and I have a new sparkler tap to fit. Think I will get a new lid too.

(Edit- contradicted myself there, pressure will also build with a temperature increase.)

Are the sparkler taps worth getting?
I heard that tightening the sparkler will stop drips

Got sparkler taps on both my top tap king kegs, never had a drippy tap, don't need to tighten the sparkler in to achieve that either.

Replaced both the lids on my king kegs with this lid from Balihoo, comes with a square section rubber lid seal and a pressure measuring valve so you can check the keg is carbing up. Sorted all my issues with leaky lid seal, hoping it was sealed, then finding flat beer 2-4 weeks down the line:

Not cheap but sorted my issues so worth every penny imho.

Just ordered that lid. Good to hear more positive reviews. Should he sorted now.

All I have to do now is empty my current keg before it goes off. The torture!
