Hey guys and girls, I have bottled a sample of brown ale which i brewed, i really want to give it a taste is it ok to drink a couple of hours after bottleing? how long should i wait?

It won't do you any harm. I usually have a bit of a tipple straight out of the FV.

Depending on the beer, it will take around 4 weeks to come into condition.
It's actually worth doing, just so you can see how the flavours develop over time. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

as someone once said...

drink, drink and be merry. Or something like that :D

I think you'd be a bit weird if you didn't sample it! It won't be anything like as good as it will be in a few weeks, but it'll make you proud!

It will be flat and, depending how much priming sugar you used, it will also be slightly sweet.

Nothing wrong with it though. I remember having a very good night when I misjudged the number of bottles I needed and ended up drinking about 2l from the primary rather than getting another 4 bottles washed and sterilised. :drink:

BigSteve: I agree with Tony, you'd be a bit weird if you didn't sample your brew when bottling/kegging. Ideally, you should then leave it for a month or two, but it's more or less compulsory to test a bottle a week.

Hey guys, i have sampled the brew and think its well nice just right on all part but flat lol but hopefully in a couple of weeks will be top notch. Carnt wait to try it again to see what its like.

Have you met many witches in person or is this just hearsay?
I happen to prefer petite and pert to big and bouncy, should I be looking for a local coven?
