That's probably why they thought they could get away with it. Watering down something without any flavour isn't going to make a great deal of difference!

My hunch is that someone of a marginal IQ has seen a pretty normal mass-brewing practise, added 2 and 2 and got 6 and a half...

If you have to be absolutely spot on with your ABV (as AB will have to be for fear of litigation) would it not make sense to brew slightly over then water down to exactly x.y%?

id be suprised if they have, not even ab-inbev are that arrogant

but just imagine how much extra beer you'd make, just diluting by one extra 1/4 of 1%.....
