Hi folks,

I have an older kelvinator fridge I use to maintain my fermentation temperature. I gave it a start the other day and put 2 barrels into ferment but the temperature never droped below 25 deg celcius so its cactus for those brews.

I think the fridge is broken but the freezer is working fine, do you think I could drill thru the bottom of the freezer into the fridge to get the temperature to the right level? or might I be punching thru a gas line?

I think you'd be better asking on a electrical repair/refrigeration engineers forum than here.

How much space is there in the freezer section though. If you have enough space to put your fermenter in, then you could use an STC1000 or ITC-308 to control it.
