Hi all,
Been a while since doing extract & AG, took the easy way out and done kits for the past couple of years.
However getting the mojo back, and I'm looking at doing an extract Hoegarden clone, the recipe conveniently taken from the Northern Brewer site. It's for a 20ltr brew in the fermentor.
My question is, to end up with 40ltr (split in to 2 FV's), is it just a simple case of doubling up on all ingredients and splitting the final kettle volume? Would this be the same for all extract brews, then also AG brews?

Cheers guys :thumb:

Yup, double the ingredients but keep the timings the same.

Basically yes, but make sure you take into account your equipment profile. If you just double all the quantities, including the water you may end up with slightly more wort than planned due to there only being one set of loses due to dead space in your kettle.
