Hi,
Im Tom, I'm 32 from Dorset, and have made my first batch of hard cider which I've just put into a barrel ready to drink. I tried the traditional way of pressing my own apples and pulping, but found this very time consuming.
So have now decided to stick to the hard cider route. Like many I expect, have made many mistakes which im sure is all part of the learning process. Though still class myself as a novice learning along the way.
I had been using homebrewtalk forum which was very helpful and some been given so much advice.Though I like this being a uk forum ;0)
Anyway that's me, I'm looking out for some offers on apple juice so I can get going on my next batch, as im not sure how long 40 pints will last haha..

Welcome to the forum. Asda is about the cheapest I have found at the moment 56p a litre. Plenty of good threads at the moment about Turbo/hard cider on here.

Hi Strangebrew & graysalchemy, I've actually just been looking at Asda apple juice and see they have a very tempting offer. Though I tend to use 100% pure apple juice from concentrated. What do you use?

Going to check out all the threads now. :drink:

Adsa's smart price at 56p is 100% pure from concentrate. Your do need the 100% from concentrate to make sure it is not artificially sweetened with non fermentables.
