Hi,

I posted here 2 weeks ago and received some great help and tips!

I've done the Wherry Beery kit form woodfordes but changed the yeast to a S-04.

I started this on Sunday and kept a regular temperature of 22 degrees. I've (hopefully) attached a picture, is this how it should look, does it look normal?
There are still bubbles coming to the surface so I won't be testing gravity just yet.

Yes it looks perfectly normal, there's some yeast floating on the surface and it may release CO2 for some time after final gravity.

Best thing to do is just leave it, or check the gravity and then again in a few days to check it's done, if it is finished you should still give it time for the yeast to clean up.

When you are sure it's finished and want to bottle or keg you can get the yeast to drop by putting it somewhere cold.

as a rule and an ethic - fermentation is uuuugggly. unless there's visible mould, give it the benefit of the doubt, different beers and yeasts act totally differently.
