I have brewed mainly 2 can kits since i started brewing at christmas, and have always done them as instructed ie nothing added.
Increasingly feeling the need to tinker
Have just bought a Milestone Lions Pride to brew at the weekend, i have 500grms of light spray malt and brewing sugar in the cupboard. What effects will adding either/or both of these have, good or bad? Advice please...

Jon

They will both boost the gravity of the wort resulting in a stronger beer. Sugar tends to dry the beer out a bit too. Are you planning to add all of it? Some of it?

Not really sure mate, was wondering whether people thought it was a good idea or not. Might add half the spray malt and see how it goes from there

Unless you are dead set on producing the beer that the kit was meant to make, I say go for it! Experimenting is part of the learning process. Like I said, you will get a stronger beer from the spray malt alone.
