I've a wherry kit which has been conditioning in a pressure barrel in my garage for about 10 days. It tastes ok but a bit hazy. However. whenever I draw off a sample it's a little bit of beer and about 90% froth which does settle down eventually. Is this normal or an indication I should vent the the barrel to release some pressure?

Thanks

The problem with venting is that as the barrel empties you may not have enough pressure to get to the bottom. In this case you will need to add some CO2. If you just go really slowly you will find that after a few pints that things will begin to even out.

When I used to use the plastic barrels I has an S30 valve fitted to the lid so that I could inject CO2 as required.
