Chaps,

I've just ordered some Peracetic Acid to use as a steriliser/sanitiser - I find the contact time on the chlorine based stuff (between 5 - 15 mins) is too long if you just want to clean something mid process.

Only thing is, I don't know what the appropriate dilutions are for either spraying or wiping. I don't want to over-dilute so that I'm wasting my time ...nor do I want to have to brew in full hazmat kit.

Does anyone have any experience with this? And given that I'm working with 5% solution, what the best dilutions are for spraying and wiping/sloshing over fermenting kit?

Hope you can help,

John

I normally go with 10-15ml in 1 litre (1 in 100)
One important thing is that it only works on clean vessels, it is only a chemical steriliser NOT a cleaner!!
