Did I do it right?

I decided to try and keep the us-05 from my last kit brew. I just got the trub, a little warm water and some DME and swished it around in a glass DJ. Can I just dump this into my next 23litres of wort?

If it's still fermenting (ish), looks and smells good, and has been under an airlock it sounds like you've got a fighting chance.

Only used US05 once, but quite liked it.
