My extract brew is ticking along nicely at 14oc.

My question is will i need to raise temp for diacytel rest( is this the correct term) or will it be ok because i'm going to leave it in primary for 3 weeks then rack to bottle bucket for 2 or 3 day's.

I'm worried about moving it from under my stairs up to the room i normaly ferment in as i can't see how i can move 21l of liquid up a flight of stairs without a lot of splashing!

Thanks

Saflager s-o4
3kg light dme
250g carapils
60g sazz
30g tettnang

I won't be able to get lagering temps but i'm sure it will be ok.
Just wondering if the yeast will clear up at the low ferment temp.

I did an extract lager recently with that yeast. The first 24 hours were at 20C, then at 12C for about 2 weeks, followed by 2C for 2 weeks. So no diacetyl rest and it tastes great.
