Novice here can I use dextrose at bottling stage rather than ordinary sugar or spay malt

Can I use yeast nutrient when I add the yeast to the wort

You really need it dissolved into the wort rather than sprinkling it on with dry yeast. But adding it to wort and giving it a good stir with something sanitised, then adding yeast should be fine.

Thanks may give it a try new to this home brew adventure

I was lucky as my mate had done a few kits before I started, still quite new to it myself though. Have brewed two tin kits (Wherry and Smugglers, both really nice) and almost about to bottle my first extract kit (White house honey ale).

Best advice is to ask plenty of questions (there are no stupid questions btw), new here myself but seem like a friendly knowledgable bunch.
Have a read on the forums (Brewing FAQ at top of page is worth a read) also found some good guides after a quick google and plenty of videos on youtube as well.

If I can make beer anyone can do it :D

I brewed this as my second kit. My local HBS had a special offer on light liquid malt extract (in 1.5kg sachets) so I used that as my only added fermentables.
Turned out great, could have passed for a lager or a light ale, but my Christmas visitors (lager drinkers) couldn't get enough of it!
