I have noticed that in the UK, you guys can purchase demijohns that have 2 rings .......

I wish I could get these in Canada...they are a nice looking unit with the 2 rings...ours only have one. I wonder why the difference..

They do sometimes sell the 1 ring ones here but mostly its the others. The advantage is you can lift them with a finger in each and the DJ remains level. I bought a load of them sh on gumtree.

We can buy one ring ones too but 2 rings are more common. As Beercat says, they are easier to keep level when lifting

8 quid seems a bit stiff for it though. If the pound is still around 2 to my dollar, buying a demijohn here would be 3 quid...

Tesco's had a 50% sale on about 6 months ago, you could have picked them up for ��£3.50. Kilner make a 2 ring version http://www.kilnerjar.co.uk/index.php/kilner-range/create-and-make/demi-john.html I'm not sure if they have Canadian stockists but you could try emailing there customer support to find out.

A quick google and both Hudsons Bay and Fenigo stock Kilner glassware, you could try contacting them as well to check if they could order some for you, i would first though contact Kilner who would be able to tell you if they have anyone in Canada who has bought Demi Johns of them recently.

I got most of mine in charity shops, I took a picture with my phone and showed it the staff as asking if they had any demijohns often resulted in a blank look.
