Hi guys.
4 days ago I brewed 2 kits, a Woodforde's Admiral Reserve and a Brewferm Ambiorix. Both are in fv's in the same room.
The Admiral's Reserve is off like a rocket, however the Ambi is absolutely still. There is nothing through the airlock. I do realise that co2 can escape other then through the airlock, but there really is nothing happening here, nothing on the surface etc. I have pushed the lid, and air is coming through the airlock this way when pushed. Ambi was brewed with 500g of brewing sugar and 200g of dme that I had lying around, all made up to 15.5 litres.
Yesterday, I sanitized a ladle and took a scoop of the admiral's reserve and put it into the Ambi fv, hoping that if it was dead yeast that this might help. Have I done the right thing there?
Fundamentaly, how long would you wait for this brew to start, or wait and see?
Should I throw in more yeast?
Thanks for any advice guys, this forum has been great to me as a newbie.
