made an snpa type clone 15 days ago smells lovely, finished og was 1056, now is 1016 15 days later, this is my first time with this yeast as ive read alot of people loving it!! but is this normal?? dont know if to bottle yet? tested yesterday and today and is still 1016 but it does bubble about every 2 and a half mins still, dont know if to leave longer?? dont really want a sweet ale if i can help it thou, wondered what you guys thought and if you have experience with this us05?? tasted it last night wow!! wonderfull so hoppy!!! dam you us05 i cant wait to drink it!!!!

you should take a hydrometer reading if it is consistant for 48 hrs go ahead and bottle it. We have made SNPA and all the variants that go with it and sometimes the gravity does finish higher than expected. It should finish around 1.010 or 1.007 depending on the starting gravity :thumb:

thanks for reply wendy, yeah think your right if reading is same tomorrow think il start my usual gelatine treatment and so on! was hoping for an 1010 finish but hey it wouldnt be home brew if it was perfect every time lol!! and always fun experimenting  :drink:

More info would hep - mash temp? Oxygenation? Pitching rate? fermentation temperature?

Airlock activity is never a reliable means of knowing if a beer is finished. Bubbles still come as CO2 comes out of the beer. The only way to know is to look for stable gravity readings.
