Hi there,

Am a newbie to brewing and forum. Have just started off a batch of Czech Pilsner lager and it's not bubbling through airlock. Not sure if temperature is right. Have an IPA also brewing and that's bubbling like crazy. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Does the FV have any leaks? What kind of FV is it?

Is there any sign of foaming or yeast chunks floating about in it?

I don't use an airlock, but I do know that proper Lager yeast is bottom fermenting and doesn't create anywhere near the same Krausen as ale yeast. Perhaps this has an influence on airlock activity too?

Its a 25 litre bucket with lid and airlock in lid. Yes there is foam and yeast chunks floating.

If it's the better brew Czech pilsner I wouldn't worry too much. Mine was the same. As long as there are signs of activity like foam then all should be good.

Thanks for advice everyone. Will let you know how it turns out. :thumb:
