Bit of advice please for a new brewer!

I started a brew on Sunday and added a little too much water to the fermenting bin! 24hrs later a good head had built up but because the bin is abit too full much ofthe head/crust has stuck to the lid of the bin. The brew still seems to be bubbleing nicely but i have scraped off as much off the lid as i can and dropped that back into the fermenting bin (thought it could contain alot of yeast) Was this the right thing to do or should i have left it? Or is the brew already ruined?

I am brewing Woodfords Admirals Revenge

Thanks for the quick reply!

This is just the first of many stupid brew based questions :drink:
