Its been a while since I did a tea wine or tea cider, and I have to admit the last 2 that i did were extremely pleasant in an 'easy drinking' sort of way. So decided to grab a few supplies whilst out getting my traditional Friday fish and chips!
20x cranberry and raspberry tea bags - courtesy of Co-op
2kg sugar
4 Yorkshire tea bags
2l cranberry juice
Made up to 8 liters in my stock pan and boiled up for a few minutes and left to cool. Once cooled I pulled all the tea bags out and poured it in to 2 demijohns. Added about 1tsp of yeast nutrient to each DJ and a teaspoon of acid.
Yeast is the last half packet of Mangrove Jacks R56 red wine yeast.
OG of 1.090 and expecting this to get down to about 1.000, giving a lip-smacking 12% cranberry tipple!
