Haha get mine involved too. Chemistry/biology class in lockdown. What they don't know about yeast ain't worth knowing 🤣

Almost completed my kegerator build this afternoon as my delivery came from BKT, drilled the holes for the taps, fitted both taps and connected one tap to the keg. Fitted a drip tray, unfortunately under ordered a reducer 3/8" to 3/16" so need that to have both taps working independently (Bugger).

Mine arriving in next day or 2 hopefully. Everything go to plan other than the reducer?

I was just thinking, with the JG gas splitter, if only 1 keg on the go, is it ok just to have the other disconnected and laying in the fridge or would some sort of 'shut off' be needed?

Yeah, no problems as they seal themselves once disconnected. As for everything going to plan then yes, just bloody annoyed about the reducer I failed to omit from the order but really pleased with the build and I'm going to take some pics when it's all completed. as for your order you will get an email/text saying it will be with you xxxxxx and then get an email/text from DPD saying the same. Good luck with your build.

Cheers. Aye, I got an email today saying searched, not sure if next day DPD or not so may be tomorrow.

I've watched a couple of videos on YT and some have reducers just after keg then again just before tap to go back to 3/8, is this the right way to go?

Yeah, you can buy them as a kit, or you can make your own as I've had to as the kits are sold out everywhere! i.e. disconnect with 3/8", short 3/8" gas tube then a 3/8" to 3/16" reducer, 3meter length of 3/16" gas line then same as the disconnect on the tap shank, if you want I can take some pics of the one I made.

That would be great when you get a chance. No rush though.

BTK arrived today, kegs look in great condition. Newby question now: The kit is supplied with 2x 3/16 lines and 1 x 3/8 gas line. Can I use some of the gas line (if I have enough length?) for the disconnect and then connecting to the tap, or should I buy specific beer line? Only a couple of quid for beer line but would need to pay for postage as well so trying to be a tight so and so.

My Kegerator build so far.

Just awaiting a reducer for the 2nd beer line to arrive and to smarten it up inside.

His website says 3-4 days to process but then I think it's next day DPD, I ordered my tap kits last Wednesday so hopefully will get my order Tuesday or Wednesday but he's a one man band by the looks so could take longer, eBay orders came within the time limit.
My last order took exactly a week from ordering to delivery and arrived last Friday. 3 orders from him have all been spot on and he also replied really quickly when I emailed with a query athumb..

Mist be a common thing to miss 1 connector while building a kegerator, I had everything connected then realised that I was missing one of the disconnect to beer line connectors aheadbutt

I noticed on a video from Malt Miller they had secondary regs. I assume this would only really be needed for beers at different serving pressure?

Yes, I mainly do hoppy pale ales so having both at the same pressure is not a problem but I fancy trying a stout so would need a lower pressure for that, ... plus I just want to pimp my fridge with more gadgets :laugh8:
