cornie taps in / out

i have my first cornie from the homebrew shop near clacton
(what a great guy)
i did not buy the taps as they where 12.00 each but i have seen the black taps on barley bottom for 5.50 but no grey ones
what is the difference between them other than the colour

Blacks are for out, drinkies
Grey for in, gas.

They are slightly different and a bugger to shift if you get them mixed up

They're not taps by the way, they're just the disconnects. You have to connect them to a tap.

just been to colchester home brewing supplies an d i now own 2 cornies and the disconnects but the lid of 1 has been adapted to fit a s30 valve is this a problem or should i try and find another lid

It'll be o.k as long as it doesn't leak from the seal.

it had pressure in it when i picked it up but i dont know how much

many thanks buddy but i got some from colchester home brewing along with a tap attachment and another cornie

now i just need another pub style beer tap and my co2 and im off running
