Hi i have just set up my first cornie keg and about to force carbonate my question is what should i set the regulator to to carbonate a beer? and while were at it a larger aswell :D cheers in advance

Mick

What temperature and what Tap and what Line do you have or are you using?

it is a 3/8 line the tap is a chrome one from norm keg has been chilled in fridge for 48 hrs and is in the garage i cant get it and the keg and the line in the fridge at the same time though so its just in the garage about 10 degrees at the moment

Probably go for 8-10 psi for ales at that temp, although I like mine on the under carbonated side around 2.5 to 5psi

Lager go up to 15-18 psi . . .but with 3/8th line you might have problems serving at that pressure . . . I use 3/16th line for my lagers and have no issues with foaming while serving.

thankyou very much AM two more questions how long should i carbonate for also my tap is straight onto the keg will that make any difference?

Mick

thankyou again :drink:
