That is not a Co2 regulator. It connects the gas in part of the keg and shows you the pressure inside.

My local brew shop sell this. I think you will have to still drill the lid to install it. Then you use the pressure valve you linked to see what pressure you have applied. Be warned there is no presure relise valve on this so you will need to be deilagent with your co2 bursts (having said that they cornies are rated up to 100psi and go further).

after loads of driving around yesterday :)
drove to loads of places diving shops,fish places was getting prices like £180 co2 and regulater only small ish tank as well :wha: :shock:
then on a off chance i drove past a beer place never seen it before :pray:
went in asked them if they do co2 bottles.

in the end got a big bottle of co2 for £16 on the hip [10 liter]
just need a reulater now :)

just got my corney though post have a lttle prob :sick:

i cant see no presure release vavle there :sick:
now it wont open as the guy put some gas in there to make sure its ok,now do i have to put a tap on it to release presure?

Should have a little release valve attached to the top with a little ring attached so you can pull to release. Upload a picture if you can.

In that case you need to press down on the center prt of one of the posts. That will release the pressure and allow you to open the lid. The pressure release lids are better but not critical. Those without the ring have a part of the lid that will burst if it ever goes over pressure so it won't blow up. You can get spare lids. Try Candirect or Google for one like this

I would recommend Norm for the co2 regulator if you haven't already got yourself one. From memory it was £45 and he will usually throw in the right JG connectors and some 3/8 pipe. You'll need a JG fitting for the gas disconnect too....which he will supply if you haven't already got your disconnects.

Take it you have someway of getting the beer out too? Beer tap or similar?

got a quick ques

i am all up and running now had little bit of troubles but that sorted now anyhow.

q.
i have let co2 running set to 1.0 bar now do i leave it on for 3- 4days without turning it off?

It seems to be a personal choice depending on setup and if your force carbonating or not.

I force carbonate and will charge it up to about 20 psi and roll the corney on its side for a few mins to help the beer absorb the co2. (I'm still experimenting with how long this needs to be done to get the best carb for whichever beer I'm doing). I then leave it a month or two with the gas disconnected, but thats really because currently its inconvenient to have the gas bottle near the corney thats maturing.

When I complete my fridge build I'll probably be able to leave some attached to the gas all the time.

You should be fine leaving it disconnected but I tend to check every so often to make sure I have no leaks.

have seen vids so have set mine to 20 psi since sat they reckon 2-3 days so shall taste it on weds nite :)
also they say release presure then bang in about 10 psi for the pouring and what not :)
we shall see on weds as this beer was flat last week but had the taste :)
time will tell :
