Just bought another corny keg (its addictive) and it came with two quick ball lock disconnects. Both of the disconnects have barbs for beer line. On my other keg I use JG push fittings and was just wondering about peoples experiences with the barbs? Is it necessary to secure the line to the barb with a jubilee clip or is it okay just to leave it as it is?

Thanks in advance

You will need to secure the line with jubilee clips as the pressure will blow them off. The only disadvantage is the hassle to remove the beer/gas line if needed to.

Sorry Bob but that's nonsense.

I have barbed connectors with 3/8" line simply pushed over them and have force carbonated wines up to 40 psi with no trouble whatsoever.
