Does making a wow type wine with cordial serious alter fermentation speed and time?

The cordial was heated beforehand to burn off any preservatives.

I have never used a cordial in WOW wine, but why would you want to spoil a half decent homemade wine. There are plenty of different variations that you can make to suit your taste, all for the same price. If you really want to use it, try adding a splash to your glass once fermented, cleared and bottled.

After doing 3 youngster kits, some cider and Orange wow and pineapple wow.

Cordials caught my attention. I've used quality ribenas so am thinking these aren't as feisty as pure juice......?

Give it a go mate.

After my first post I started thinking about it. This is what wine and beermaking is all about. Trying different recipes, chopping and changing, stronger, weaker, there is so much you can do, even with the most basic of ingredients.

If you haven't done so already, keep a log of the recipes that you have made. If you make a wine that turns out a cracker, you can always go back and make it again. A pocket notebook or a similar hardback book would be ideal.

Another thing to do is to post recipes and results on the forum so other members can benefit by making such a great wine.
