I did a Coopers wheat beer last week & it's finished fermenting. A few people have mentioned leaving it in the fermentation vessel for another week but I'm worried it may go off as the FV just has a lid & no airlock. So the question is will it be OK?

Not sure why you would want to leave it after fermentation has finished unless you are clearing it for keging.
I usually bottle my beers after eight days.
I did the Cooper Wheat Beer a couple of months back. It clears in the beatles but develops a chill haze in the fridge. Not much flavour but it is refreshing on a hot day.
I got my kit at a silly price so I'm reasonably happy with it but I don't think I'll be going out of my way to do it again.

I would recommend leaving it for another week to make sure the yeast has finished everything, you can do a Diacetyl rest (raise the temp towards the end of fermentation).

If you dont have a lid you can use some cling film over the top, simply roll out a bit so you get to the un exposed part and tie some string around it on the fermenter, no need for a lid.

When you say raise it a little, how much would you say to raise it?

Got a woodefordes wherry that started at 1.045, and when I took a reading this morning, it was 1.014... So, I would say it's getting towards the end of fermentation (most say that it stops around 1.014 to 1.010). So, was thinking of giving this a go. It's currently sat in water bath at around 19.6'c (fluctuated slightly above and below). So, tonight, was thinking of raising the temp. Would I raise it to about 22'c, or slightly higher still?

Many thanks
